Mesenari Invasion of Cycondrill
Near the end of the Grand Holy Empire of Monbil, the armies of the southern lands of Mesener invade the continent of Cycondrill. They split into two forces, one sailing north through the Sonder Sea to where modern day Geldenhaupt is and the other sailed to where Jurean and Garikoth are through the New Sea (Mesenari Korogar). Over 25,000 Mesenari soldiers landed on the beach near Geldenhaupt which later became known as the 'Blood Beach', many were killed by Monbilian Archers at Fort Heintre on the edge of the cliffs at Blood Beach, however the Mesenari used a weapon not seen by figures of Cycondrill, the crossbow. The crossbow was used at the beach defending the infantry, picking off archers at the fort. The moral of the soldiers was high due to the appearance of the king of Mesener, King Zelkus. Reinforcements came every hour, with 4,000 soldiers and crossbowmen pouring from the ships to the beach. After 5 hours the Mesenari forces almost tok the fort from the Monbilians, the Monbilians and Mesenari sustaining heavy casualties in the process. Monbilian pikemen and knights came and confronted the Mesenari on the cliffs and beach. Eventually the Mesenari Army retreated due to the death of their king to Zutzek, a Monbilian 'hero'. It is estimated that over 35,000 Mesenari and 33,000 Monbilians died at the beach.
